We invite you to participate in the annual competition of innovative projects UMNIK-2010 Funded by the Foundation for Promotion of Small Enterprises in Science and technology ( Programme of the competition )
The purpose of the contest:
Identification of young scientists, seeking to fulfill your potential through innovation and encouraging mass participation of youth in science, technology and innovation through organizational and financial support for innovative projects.
Participants: The competition involved individuals 18 to 28 years who are citizens of Russia, offering to consider science and technology projects that meet the following criteria:
- novelty and relevance;
- technically significant products or technologies;
- commercial reality of the project.
- Mechanical engineering, electronics, instrumentation;
- Information Technology;
Winners: Each winner receives 200,000 rubles per year within two years. The fund finances the implementation of projects aimed at carrying out research in the field of scientific research and experimental development (R & D).
Last year the winners were 4 students, 1 graduate student and a young teacher of our university.
The main criterion for selection projects are their novelty and possible practical implementation of the proposed ideas:
- Novelty and relevance of ideas . The proposed idea must be new, it was first formulated by the participant of the program. The draft should reflect the research, as a result of which it sprang, as well as the conditions necessary for the implementation of this product as a finite tehnologii.Ideya, as articulated in the project must be relevant, ie has the possibility of rapid commercialization (merchantability) in this period time.
- Technical relevance of products or technology. The idea, as articulated in the project must be technically significant, then there must have a decisive influence on modern techniques and technology.
- Term transformation of ideas into a final product and output it to the market, that is, from the initial stage (the idea) to the mass of finished product (technology). During the first year of funding idea would be brought to the test sample, and the result of two years work will be pilot sample (technology), ready for mass production or deployment. Implementation of these conditions gives the winner the opportunity to apply for the program in the START program that is funded by the Foundation for another 3 years of up to 6 million rubles.
- Implementation plan. In terms of implementation should be clearly reflected the stages of use of the Fund to perform research and development.
- Enthusiasm for the idea. The identity of the speaker and the quality of representation plays an important role in the positive perception of the overall project. By the way the speaker stands, we can immediately determine whether he is the author of the idea, or retell certain provisions of the dissertation supervisor. You can also separately noted, and the speaker type - whether he is a leader, or vice versa, a team man.
- Evaluation of its abilities. He must properly assess the current rate in the world of science and technology in the use of their ideas and analyze the presence of competitors or similar decisions, must see the risks in the way of turning ideas into a product, properly represent the ways and means to protect their rights (including intellectual property ) have a sufficient academic qualification, as well as the ability to make organizational decisions.
Participation in the contest UMNIK involves public speaking with the author's presentation of his project (The length of the report of no more than 5 minutes, the format of presentation - PowerPoint 97-2007)
