To control and manage research, design, survey and innovation activities at the University, the Research Management Office was established (RMO).
Day-to-day supervision of the RMO's activities is entrusted to Prof. Alexey I.Yevstigneev, University's Provost for Research.
The RNO's work is regulated by the KnASTU's Charter and by the RNO Statutes. Today RNO's control bodies include the following ones:
- Research and Development Department
- Doctoral and PhD Studies Department
- Dissertation Boards' Department
- Patent Information Department
- Innovation Technology Centre
- Undergraduate Research Department
The Innovation Technology Centre in its turn comprises:
- Research&Technology Park;
- Regional Research&Education Innovation Centre for Energy Conservation;
- Mathematical Modelling Centre, Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies.
The Research&Technology Park includes the Office for Commerce, the Experimental Production Site and two small business enterprises: «Pyrotex» and «Gravicont».
The Centre for Mathematical Modelling comprises the Sector for Mathematical Modelling of Dynamic Systems and Nano-Structures, and the Analysis of Structures/Processes Sector.
The Centre for Advanced Materials includes a laboratory of gas thermal spray coating and another laboratory of composite materials and coatings.
