We have many successfully completed and ongoing joint projects with our partners from USA, South Korea, Japan, China, Germany and other countries in such areas as culture, sports, education, science and industrial production.
Our students and staff have large opportunities to take part in various educational programs at US, South Korean, Japanese, Chinese, German and Canadian universities. Nearly three dozens of Komsomolsk-on-Amur citizens got their Bachelor's and Master's degrees (in Engineering and Economics) at the University of Texas and Washington State (USA). 10 of our graduates proceeded to do further studies at several South Korean universities (2 and 4-year long training programs). The reverse trend is even more sizable: more than 400 Chinese and 12 South Korean students are doing their studies here or have already got their degrees in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
University teachers from KnASTU take an active part in various international scientific and engineering events both in Russia and abroad. For instance, the international conference "Far-eastern Spring" along with knowledge export in the area of TRIZ System use and development have become the University's trademarks. In 2008 the Head of International Department received a prestigious Fulbright Foundation prize, which gave him an opportunity to join a team of 8 best Russian specialists and get professional training at some of the leading American schools – Columbia University and the University of Kansas. On behalf of the Russian Federation, a representative of KnASTU presented a paper at the largest world forum of foreign affairs experts that was held in Atlanta (USA).
The University has running cooperative contracts in the areas of education and science with universities of the states of Texas and Alaska in USA, with Kang-Vong National University and Seo-Seng University in South Korea, with Sheng-Yang Aircraft Building Institute and the University of the city of Xia-Muxi, and also with the Authority for Science and Technology in the city of Hey-He (China), and with Technological College in the city of Ube (Japan).
At the University's Foreign Language Centre, and as part of the work of the International Department, more than 500 students are currently studying English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. The "UN Model in the Far East" Student Club has been successfully developing over the last years, and one of the University's female students, the club's member, took a prize at an international competition in the USA. The University gives premises for a Society of Russian-Japanese Friendship.
Sports teams of the University often take part in competitions and training camps in Russia, China and South Korea.
Since 2000 the International Department on behalf of the University has been building up close ties with the Russian-Japanese Centre in Khabarovsk. During this time, speakers and teachers from Japan conducted a number of seminars, as follows:
- HR management
- Accounting and financial reporting
- Business plan design&planning
- A system of support for commercial companies from governmental institutions adopted in Japan
- Forging hi-tech in Japan
Translations Bureau
As a subdivision of the International Department, the Translation Bureau was established with the aim of rendering translation services to the University staff and city residents; we offer translations, notarized translations and apostille.
The Bureau provides services related to various types of text translations. We can translate documents of different subject matters to and from many foreign languages.
We are usually chosen by those customers who rely on high quality translations for their business. Our staff is made up of first class translators skilled in their art, who are teachers at the University. A system of ongoing quality control adopted at our Bureau ensures that all translations are grammatically and terminologically 100% correct.
Our Bureau has managed larger translation projects, if necessary this can be carried out both in normal time and urgently. Our notary practice ensures that our clients can be satisfied in their translation needs and get notarized translations of their documents. We view our mission as that of offering translations of documents to the widest possible audience, and we are ready to service both individual and corporate customers.

TRANSLATION OF PASSPORTS AND OTHER PERSONAL DOCUMENTS
If you are a Russian resident, you might need your papers translated into a foreign language for various legal activities abroad and to apply for other country's citizenship. For some banking operations and actions related to inherited property outside of the country you will also have to have you passport translated.
Non-residents will be required to translate their papers for the purposes of notarial certification in Russia, and to apply for citizenship or for other documents.
